It reliably detects open doors and windows and displays the current status directly in the Bosch Smart Home app. The extra-thin magnetic unit can be discreetly attached to or on the window sash – even with double-glazed windows.

In the Bosch Smart Home System, the door/window contact contributes to energy savings: When you ventilate, the connected radiator thermostats are automatically throttled back. This prevents unnecessary heat loss and reduces your energy costs.

As part of the Bosch Smart Home alarm system, the door/window contact provides increased security. If the door is opened without authorization, it immediately triggers an alarm and notifies you via the app. It also warns of open windows or doors when the alarm system is activated, preventing any security gaps.

The integrated button allows for customized use: You can configure it in the app as a trigger for smart scenarios or automations. Double-clicking activates the pause function, allowing the window or door to be opened once without triggering an alarm or turning down the heating—perfect for pets or short-term ventilation.

Easy installation and versatile placement

Installation is particularly easy: The sensor can be attached using the included adhesive tape. Alternatively, screw mounting is possible (screws not included). With an IP45 protection rating, the device is suitable for both indoor and protected outdoor use.
