Product description

The ELKO EP MATTER RFWD-100/MT Window/Door Sensor is an advanced sensor specifically designed for monitoring window and door openings. By separating the magnet and sensor, the device reliably detects the opening and closing of windows and doors. Communication via the Thread protocol ensures seamless integration into Matter-compatible smart home systems.

Versatile applications

The RFWD-100/MT can be used in combination with switching elements for automatic lighting control, for example, in basements or garages. The Matter app also allows notifications to be displayed on your smartphone as soon as an opening is detected.

Easy installation and handling

The sensor's compact design, measuring 25 x 75 x 16 mm (sensor) and 15 x 75 x 14 mm (magnet), allows for discreet installation on windows and doors. It is powered by a 3V CR2032 battery, which has a lifespan of approximately one year. The battery status can be conveniently monitored via the Matter app.

Compatibility and integration

The sensor is connected to other devices via a Matter-enabled border router and a Matter-enabled application. Border routers can be devices such as a HomePod Mini, Google Nest Hub, or Samsung SmartThings Station.
