The Aqara Door and Window Sensor P2 is an advanced sensor designed to precisely monitor the status of doors, windows, and other openings in your home. Supporting the Matter standard, it enables seamless integration with leading smart home platforms such as Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, and Samsung SmartThings. This ensures high compatibility and flexibility when setting up your smart home.

Seamless integration thanks to Matter support

As one of the first sensors with native Matter support, the P2 connects directly to various smart home platforms without the need for an additional hub. This simplifies setup and enables direct communication with other compatible devices on your network.

Reliable status monitoring

Equipped with a high-precision Hall sensor, the Aqara P2 reliably detects the opening and closing status of doors, windows, drawers, and other objects. The sensor sends real-time notifications to your smartphone whenever the status changes, so you're always aware of potential security threats, whether you're at home or on the go.

Easy installation and flexible design

Thanks to its compact design and the included adhesive strips, the sensor can be easily integrated into any home environment. The improved adhesive strips leave no residue after removal, and the additional flat magnet offers greater installation flexibility, even in tight or awkward spaces.

Long battery life

The sensor is powered by a high-capacity CR123A battery, allowing for long-lasting monitoring without the need for frequent battery changes. Actual battery life may vary depending on the Thread Border Router and Matter-enabled apps used. For optimal results, using an Aqara Border Router is recommended.

Future expansions

With future updates via the Aqara Home app, available after the Hub M3 launch, the sensor will gain additional features. These include sensitivity adjustment within a range of 1–3 cm, a programmable button for triggering automations, and a tamper alarm that sends instant notifications in case of unauthorized access.
